John Rogers
Master woodworker, John Rogers, really knows wood. His love and understanding of this malleable but sometimes unforgiving material, began in 1975 when he and his wife built their first home in Maine. One home led to another and he was soon asked to create furnishings for the homes he had built. He also received commissions that included wardroom furniture for three Bath Iron Works naval ships.
We think it’s fair to say that the lathe is John’s favorite tool. He creates stunning, turned bowls in a variety of native hardwoods—no two bowls are ever alike. We are honored to feature John’s uniquely masterful works which also include charcuterie and fish-shaped cutting boards.
