Tim Glover

In his words…

“Along the seaboard one comes across a great many scenes of working wharfs and docks bustling with activity as fishermen are preparing to venture out to sea. My interest is to try and characterize some of the iconic imagery which speaks to the labor and toil of the fishing industry and present it in the modern vocabulary of abstract and semi-abstract painting. There is a grittiness and physicality to the work of these seafarers, and with paint and brush I try to create work that connotes this rough and tumble life with glimpses of the gear and structures of the wharfs, docks, boats, traps, flotsam and jetsam which is found in the ports and harbors up and down the New England coastline.”

Tom Glover resides in coastal New Hampshire. He received a B.F.A. degree in painting at the University of New Hampshire. He is also a fine arts conservator.
