'Ishtar' is a stunning and unique hand-knotted work of art. We believe it was woven by women of the Chichaoua tribe who live in the plains region between Marrakesh and the Atlantic coast. The color is a rich, vivid shade of red with a strong but simple traditional Berber design accent woven in deep gray wool. The pattern is two "stepped" diamonds with smaller elongated diamonds and zigzag design on long edges. We've never seen another quite like it...and it's reversible. During the cold winter months in Berber homes they are used face up, then reversed in the summer.
Size: 2'8"w x 10'2"l
Materials: Sheep wool and cotton, natural vegetal dyes

Care: Professional cleaning recommended. Spot clean with cold water. Avoid vacuuming. If possible, shake out rug outside.
