Although gulls are sometimes maligned, Ellen has elevated each of her  gulls 'charm factor' by giving them names.  There's something about assigning a name that seems to imbue them with unique personalities. Each of the gulls (and don't call them seagulls because that's a misnomer) has his or her own story to tell but that story could also be in the eyes of the beholder. With or without names, Ellen's gulls are fabulous either as an individual painting or as a collection of two or three.
