Moroccan Taznakht Kilim Rug 'Baya'
Moroccan Taznakht Kilim Rug 'Baya'
South of Marrakesh in the market town of Taznakht, the masterful women weavers of the Ait Ouaouzguite tribe create kilims or flatweave rugs that are often multicolored with each weaver choosing her own palette.' Baya' is a serene and subtle design in what we call the 'wave' motif, with harmonious colors of deep blue, lavender and grey. We think this kilim deserves a home on the coast but if you don't live on the coast, this unique work of art will make you feel like you do. Woven in tapestry style, it is fully reversible. (Ocean not included.)
Size: 8'4" x 5'2"
Materials: Sheep wool and cotton
Care: Professional cleaning recommended or spot clean with cold water
Note: Vacuuming is not recommended. Best to shake out rug outside. Once the kilm is unfolded and on the floor, the fold lines will flatten out and disappear.
