'Nabila' Ait Zemmour Kilim Runner

On our first trip to Morocco more than ten years ago, the Zemmours were the rugs we fell in love with. These iconic deep red and black flatweaves with horizontal design motifs are rich with Berber symbols passed down through generations of weavers, from mother to daughter. This unique piece is particularly strong, as it was embroidered with a needle created from olive wood. The color red is derived from henna, the brown from crushed date pits.
